We will call this post, all over the board..

I haven't blogged in so long....sorry friends.

Lots of things to chat about. We did all the Brain shunt things and JD is not in need of a shunt, so to speak, right now. Both Doctors agree that his head is big and that they don't understand why he is not having symptoms, but they also agree that putting a shunt in today could open another whole can of worms. We will go back in 6 months to review everything unless he is having symptoms.

I talked to his Neurosurgeon the other day in a pretty lengthy conversation about what we have to look for, do, etc. Oh, and while I had him on the phone I discussed the "enormous egg" on his right temple. JD fell, tripped, on the way into school, the first trip he has had to the nurse's office. It was truly the largest egg I have ever see on a child. ick. He was fine, and once he got home it was like he never even got hurt.

A couple of new things, you might have saw on Facebook, Anne joined Daisy Girl Scouts and of course, I am the leader!

JD joined Karate, Tae Kwon Do, and he now loves it. The first class was a little rough and it has been hard finding someone to tailor his pants...no go yet. Now, JD loves it and his friend Charlie joined so it is great to see him Karate chop!!!

So, we have been well and keeping really busy. I hope I can get back to posting more...Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

I've been waiting for an update! Of course, so happy to know that JD does not need surgery now. What a relief. I love the Tae Kwon Do pic - he looks great! I really want to get Seamus into martial arts, so I will be showing him that pic when I get home. And you just send those pants to me, I will hem them!!

Yay, a post! (Not that I can really talk...lol) I looked into putting my kids in Tae Kwon Do, but the place here wanted $100 per kid per month plus $100 each for uniforms and all the fees for tests, etc, and until the money tree starts growing the backyard, that isn't happening! Go JD! Taylor loves Daisy Scouts too!

By the way, forgot to mention about Seamus' snow gear...it's actually a toddler's one-piece snowsuit. This is his second year wearing it. I believe it is size 18m, and he still has lots of room in it! Not the most fashionable thing, but hey, it works.

Well good news on JD! He looked cute in his costume and I love him in his karate suit! I negotiated with a local tailor regarding Preston's pants and we came to an agreed price of $6 a pair. Although I have found someone in my neighborhood who can sew so they are going to her next year.
Hope your holiday season is going wonderfully!

I'm glad to hear that you all have been doing well and keeping busy! Cute pictures!!
Yay for no shunt for JD! I hope he continues to do well without one! As far as the goose egg on his head, I'm always amazed at how quickly kids pick themselves up and act like they were never hurt even though there is evidence to show otherwise!
I bet you and Anne will have a blast with Daisy Girl Scouts!
How fun for JD to be in Tae Kwon Do! It's always fun to take classes with friends too!
Merry Christmas!! Hope to see Christmas pictures of your adorable kids!
